The patient came to us with protruding upper front teeth (an overjet of about 10 mm) and a deep bite. The upper teeth sat forward of the lower teeth, and the lower jaw was small. Dr. Gig first fitted a Twin Block, a functional appliance that encourages the lower jaw to grow.
After that stage, she treated the patient with braces using a non-extraction approach to correct the protrusion and the bite. When treatment ended, the teeth were neatly aligned and the bite was normal. The patient now has an attractive smile.

In this case, the lower front teeth sat in front of the upper teeth and overlapped them so far that the bite was very deep. The lower jaw had also shifted noticeably to the right.

The patient came to us with two concerns:
Dr. Natthanan Rujeerapaiboon (Dr. Gig) planned the treatment without extractions, using arch expansion and elastics to open up space for aligning the teeth.
The braces chosen were the Damon system, which uses self-ligating brackets with a built-in clip. This reduces friction, so the teeth move efficiently and with less pain.
